What is a fact that may surprise people about you?: I’ve climbed to the top of Grand Teton (13,775 ft)
What past project of yours holds the most meaning to you and why?: The relocation of the Clarks Americas Headquarters. It was the first project that I lived and breathed from programming through the final photo shoot.    

 

Name a favorite space or experience you wish you had designed?: The Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal. An inspiring synthesis of material, color, pattern, lighting, and architecture

How would you describe your leadership style in 3 words?: Straight forward, supportive, collegial
What advice would you give to this year's class of emerging leaders?: Leadership comes in many forms. Success will follow when you lead in a way that is genuine to who you are. 
Recall a moment you felt the most empowered as a professional Interior Designer?: I hate to say so, but…no.
Do you have a "design mantra" or saying you find yourself repeating?: No
What makes a project successful for you?: One where the team and the client enjoy the process along the way, not just the end result.
How has IIDA helped you the most in your career?: Through various programs and events, IIDA has helped prepare and encourage me to be a successful professional. 
How would you explain the difference between a professional Interior Designer vs Interior Decorator to a stranger?: Designers have undergone a formal education, training and testing process. Their breadth of knowledge includes codes, standards, and regulations that ensure a safe, healthy, and functional environment, not just an aesthetically pleasing one.
