JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you extremely detail oriented & have excellent communication skills? Do you have experience in hospitality or multi-family interior design? Do you have a strong work ethic and appreciate collaboration? Yes! This is the job for you!

Colwen’s Interior Designers collaborate with the Design and Purchasing teams, which is why industry experience is essential. In this role, you will oversee hospitality and multi-family projects from the beginning of the design process to the final installation. You will manage vendor relationships, organize the design library, write specifications, and source new products.

Managing Rep Relationships

  • Responsible for keeping our vendor/rep information up to date with current contact info
  • Order samples/requesting initial pricing/procuring further spec information at our designers request

Specification Writing:

  • Implement design by writing all technical specifications for FF&E. This includes coordinating all tags with designers and architecture
  • Work with Project Managers to coordinate entering furniture and lighting matrices into Design Smart

Estimating:

  • Review guestroom unit sheets to quantify all furnishings for all projects
  • Review public space to quantify all furnishings

Miscellaneous:

  • Manage the state of the materials library- keep it organized
  • Other related duties as assigned

Design Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with CD sets
  • Building Revit families
  • Creating millwork shop drawings in Revit
  • Updating the finish schedule
  • Selecting finishes, lighting, furniture
  • 3-D Renderings
  • Creating project binders
  • Creating project boards
  • Sourcing additional project materials
  • Creating Finish Distribution plans

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • This position is located in Medford, Ma
  • Core work hours are Monday - Friday 8 AM-5 PM

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in the Interior Design industry
  • Must be very detail oriented and highly meticulous
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A can-do positive attitude
  • Revit Experience is highly desirable
