Interior Designer (mid level) CBT - Boston, MA Preferred Years of Experience: 4-7 Area of Focus: Workplace
JOB DESCRIPTION
Ideal candidates will possess the ability to:
- Develop and coordinate detailed design concepts
- Develop functional requirements and project-design criteria
- Manipulate basic design elements such as proportion, color, light, texture & scale
- Provide programming and space planning analysis and area calculations
- Provide color/finish/material research and selection
- Demonstrate an understanding of the architectural design process and integration of interior design concepts
- Prepare contract documents, including design plans, millwork design, elevations, details, furniture layouts, ergonomic dimensions, finish plans, color plans, schedules and reflected ceiling plans
- Research manufacturers for furniture systems
- Assist in developing furniture specs with respect to the design concept
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience, 5-10 years ideal
- Proficiency in Revit is required
- Strong eye for design
- Experience in Corporate Workplace, Residential, Multi-Family Residential, Institutional, or Hospitality Sectors
- 3D visualization, experience with Enscape preferred
- Demonstrate a general knowledge of building materials, detailing, and construction techniques
- Fully competent in all aspects of the design process; experience in all phases and aspects of a project desirable
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates a collaborative and professional work ethic
- NCIDQ, LEED, WELL registered is a plus
