JOB DESCRIPTION

Ideal candidates will possess the ability to:

  • Develop and coordinate detailed design concepts
  • Develop functional requirements and project-design criteria
  • Manipulate basic design elements such as proportion, color, light, texture & scale
  • Provide programming and space planning analysis and area calculations
  • Provide color/finish/material research and selection
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the architectural design process and integration of interior design concepts
  • Prepare contract documents, including design plans, millwork design, elevations, details, furniture layouts, ergonomic dimensions, finish plans, color plans, schedules and reflected ceiling plans
  • Research manufacturers for furniture systems
  • Assist in developing furniture specs with respect to the design concept

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience, 5-10 years ideal
  • Proficiency in Revit is required
  • Strong eye for design
  • Experience in Corporate Workplace, Residential, Multi-Family Residential, Institutional, or Hospitality Sectors 
  • 3D visualization, experience with Enscape preferred
  • Demonstrate a general knowledge of building materials, detailing, and construction techniques
  • Fully competent in all aspects of the design process; experience in all phases and aspects of a project desirable
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates a collaborative and professional work ethic
  • NCIDQ, LEED, WELL registered is a plus
