What is your strongest personal quality?: I find excitement and enjoyment in everyday things. This has allowed me to be excited about every new team I'm on and every new learning experience. What is your strongest professional skillset?: Discovering unique experiences to bring into a space.
Why did you choose to become an Interior Designer?: Throughout my life, I've always found my environments important with where I live, where I study, and where I work. I wanted to create spaces that can inspire others and allow them to be in a supportive space. How would you describe your personal design style?: Facebook-marketplace mid-century modern.
What three things do you most geek out on?: Cooking, Movies and Artists What are you looking forward to as an IIDA Emerging Leader?: Having a network of young leaders to connect with.
What has been your go-to for de-stressing this year?: This past year, I read 35 books! Joining virtual book clubs has been something that's brought a lot of joy. What advice do you have for designer students graduating?: Find what projects excite you and never stop finding creative outlets.
What is your favorite annual IIDA event?: Croquet! How would you explain the difference between a professional Interior Designer vs Interior Decorator to a stranger?: I usually will explain how my job focuses more on the user's journey and experience in a space. How a doctor goes through a medical building efficiently, or how a company's coworking space will be most effective for their goals.
