As a kid what did you want to be when you grew up?: Interior Designer
If you could keep only five possessions what would they be?: Sneakers, pen, pad of paper, laptop, camera
What is a skill you'd like to learn and why?: Fashion Design, the built world often feeds off of different categories of design – especially fashion and textiles – and being able to master the drive and craft that fashion requires has always piqued my interest.
If you could have dinner with any person, dead or alive, who would it be?: Leonardo Da Vinci
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go?: Morocco
What accomplishment are you most proud of?: Adapting to the design work environment so quickly! I have only been working for a year and a half and I already have projects I am the main interior designer on that are built and others that are under construction.
Lesson learned that has benefited you most in your career: Having people skills is incredibly valuable to your career. You never know when you are meeting someone that might completely change the way you think, work, or even your career path.
Why did you choose to become an Interior Designer?: I love solving problems, and I am a creative person – interior design allows me to solve problems creatively, and in a fun team atmosphere!
Most significant inspiration: Nature, the earth has been surviving without humans for billions of years, and human capability to capture what makes different organisms work the way they do in biomimetic design is incredible.
